Just found this out by accident. I got a replacement CDV, and was set to drill out the innards, but before any real drilling started, the force of the drill press pushed out the working parts. Since a replacement CDV is only about $5.50, this is a no-brainer.
While this may be a cheap way of doing it, there must be a reason why Zeckenhausen doesnt remove everything so its completely open, just drills it a bit more. I can see maybe an issue creep up if you have TOO much fluid flowing through.
