Ok, got a call from the service manager, great guy and very helpful. Here's the conclusion after they plugged the car in and called BMW Canada.
The car DOES have the power kit software as when its plugged in, it says power conversion kit. The problem is, this power kit software done at port is also what wiped out the BMW apps software (so idrive software).
So right now, you can have 1 but not the other. They are working on a new software fix to allow both but won't be due out until sometime in Nov when we all have to bring the car back in for reprogramming.

My salesguy is waiting word from the BMW Canada Group.
I'm not gonna worry about till November.
