I went to an open test day at Buttonwillow on Friday. The ambient temp was in the high 50s to low 60s. It was a trouble free day except for one limp/CEL instance. During my 3rd "session" (I put quote because there was no session, it was an open track all day), the car went into limp mode and I had a half CEL. Initially, I thought it was the oil temp issue but it was only at 270F. So that shouldn't be the problem. Then I saw that my fuel gage was completely empty, and the range was displaying "---". Ahh....out of gas!!! I limped back to the pit, fueled it up at the pump at the track. CEL went away, and I got back on the track on more time.

Anyway, with the cool ambient temp, stock oil cooler, stock coolant mix, my oil temp was consistently at 270C. Sorry, forgot to set the display to read the coolant temp. And I was able to run more laps continuously.
