I was planning on upgrading my brakes this coming summer with some slotted and drilled rotors and some new pads and sensors, and since most of my driving to and from work now is pretty short distance, the brakes rarely get warm enough to make the sound. But occasionally I make longer trips and the squeaking is getting louder and is EMBARASSING!
Do you guys think itís wise to upgrade the brakes sooner during the winter timeÖ or should I just stick it out and wait till spring?
A simple recommendation. Pull out the sensors from the pads, it's very easy, just for 1 day and see if the squealing goes away. The sensors are ONE of a few reasons our brakes squeal.
