However, people still report HPFP failures, up through and including the 2011 models; so, no -- just having the "latest" part does not keep it from failing.
Make sure the recall has been done on any car you are considering, though. That will at least give you the newest pump, software, and possibly some new injectors.
Do you know what the newest software is? Are the injectors part of the recall or is it something that replaced after repeated issues?
