tmaung - if is was Le Mans Blue it was a 2011. Le Mans Blue makes the M Sport Package mandatory, which for the 335d was only available in 2011. If it was a 2009 or 2010 E90 LCI it could have been Montego Blue, which looks similar to Le Mans Blue with a slight hint of purple under certain light conditions.
