It can't be too restrictive or you'll have crankcase pressure problems yet still has to create enough turbulence to allow oil to condense out or you won't catch anything. I know many catch can makers hide their baffles away inside a welded can but on the BMS oil catch can the baffle is right there for you to see. It's even removable. I think they really hit the nail on the head with this new two stage internal baffle. It's a very free flowing design yet still provides excellent oil/vapor separation.
