I don't get all of this runflat hysteria. I like my conti runflats, I like the stiffness of the ride, but most of all I like the security of knowing I can drive on a flat tire. If you are worried enough about wanting a spare tire, seems to me that is enough reason to stick with the run flats.
I was quoted around $450 to replace one of my michelin runflats so I just replaced them all with bridgestone non runflats for $700 instead. Rides much quiter and smoother IMO. Don't have a spare though so keeping my fingers crossed.
