You need a gps antenna whi h you can get for £7 on eBay,
I bought a genuine one and my sharkfin had to be removed to install.
The emulator bypasses the fsc codes you would need to buy from bmw to be able the maps which is around £400.

I'm looking at getting the cic idrive fitted in my car but at the moment only have the bog standard radio. I don't think I would be able to do the job myself and would prefer to pay someone to do it for me. I'm in the west yorks area too so would the guy you know be willing to do a full install if I was to get the parts? Or if he prefers to provides the parts?
