As one can see from the fifth gear video the overall difference between a regular sport pkg 335i and S5 V8 is slightly in favor of 335i. However, I believe the Audi S5 with supercharged V6 is slightly faster then the V8. Also, the supercharged V6 is slightly more agile due to less weight hanging over the front end.
There was a comparison of 2010 Audi S4 with this supercharged V6 that supposedly beat the 2009 335i sedan and was faster. I think the difference might be less with 335is. However, I think I would have to give the edge of 0-60mph to the S4 due to AWD setup the quarter mile might be a tie.
One thing is for sure edge in steering wheel feel would be in 335is favor as well as the exhaust sound and cooler wheels.
