Not necessarily that easy. Depending on the amount of damage ($$) your insurance company will want to make the check out jointly to either you and the body shop or you and the leinholder since this is a comp claim against your own policy. You can have the body shop order the parts for you and pay the difference, or you can do what I did and just order the aftermarket parts out of pocket and have the shop reimburse you. They will reimburse you for the value of the stock part as listed on the estimate. If you get a good deal on the parts you ordered you could end up coming out ahead.
