i spoke to a SA and tech about this pending tsb at the time.. the dealership has the say on whats "normal" or in need of replacement. many cars have been '"flagged" due to meth lines, ecm box and wiring tampering,intakes, even full exhaust systems, your car better be as factory comes.. more then half the cars that go through are denied or considered "normal" rattle... i personally work at a european car dealership for over 10 years and have got to know a few bmw techs within the area. and are really covering all grounds due to high "warranty per R/O claims" just some info..
