I contacted Thatcham some months ago about this problem, their response was that the problem only affects cars with keyless access, I told them that it was much more widespread than that and I subsequently emailed them a link to the thread that was active at the time - needless to say, my email was neither answered nor acknowledged. I got the impression that Thatcham weren't particularly interested
