As for the ECU reporting the wrong injector, I have only seen this once before. The ECU was reporting injectors based on firing order, not on physical location.
I've been relying on the Autologic, but sounds like INPA would be a good thing for me to have. I know you've done a lot of sharing on your INPA threads, so I'll check them out this weekend.
