Your best bet for Wastegate longevity is to keep the wastegate actuators in perfect adjustment, as the further the internal wastegate bushings wear the further out of adjustment the actuators go and in turn the faster the bushing and shaft are worn. Hope that makes sense, but I have seen even some 1M cores come back and have alarming amounts of wear considering the age and mileage.
Thanks Rob, but I'm wondering: How does one keep the wastegates in "perfect adjustment?" Is there some sort of maintence routine you'd recommend?
