NCSExpert expert advice needed

So it's no secret I'm desperately trying to code bluetooth into my 2009 328i. The radio doesn't seem to want to accept any additions to the VO, and whenever I try to code it via NCSExpert it fails - the general consensus is that, because it's a 2URAD, the D-Can interface simply won't work.

BUT, in the backup fsw_psw.trc file I created at the beginning of the NCS tutorial pdf, I find the option

BLUETOOTH_RAD2
nicht_aktiv

which, in theory, lives inside the radio. If that's the case, how is it not possible for me to read the radio at all? Is the copy of that file created at that point in the tutorial assembled from default values rather than read from the car?
