Thats gonna be a hard one...you are in the same boat i'm in...I have a e39 and a e92. The e39 can take larger offset and have a bigger bore. So if you were to use adapter to go from e92-->e39 you will need to us spacers or the wheels will be really sunk in but at the same time the e92 bore is smaller so that still wouldn't really work unless you got a machine shop to bore them a little more ...and if you run e39-->e92 wheels your offsets and tire sizes will be bigger then what the e92 can technically handle but you can use hub rings to make them work. Hope that makes sense.
