Hey guys, kind of in a mad rush to solve my fitment problems. I have been running 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +22 wrapped in Falken 452 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 for awhile, it was fine. Upgraded to Pilot Super Sports of the same size, now it's rubbing. Due to getting the single turbo kit and the fact that I'm going to a 1/2 mile race this weekend, I really want to remove all potential for rubbing.
I am looking at APEX ARC-8, almost certainly 17". I'm debating between 8.5 +40 or 9 +42 up front, and 9.5 +35 rear. I know the rear will be fine, but I'm also debating tire sizes.
I'm leaning towards Hankook RS-3. So my questions are:
- What is the better option up front? I have 5mm spacers I can use.
- If I go with 8.5 up front, should I get 225/45/17 or 235/45/17?
- Rears would have to be 255/40/17, is that going to be very stretched on 9.5, or just about right? I've heard RS-3 are also square.
- Another option is 18" wheels (18x8.5 +38 225/40/18 and 18x9.5 +35 255/35/18). I really want the weight benefits of 17", but the fitment seems a little better on 18".
