Maybe find a new SA? Mine listens to me and has no problem checking out specific items when I bring my car in and specify areas of concern. For example, the last time I took the car in I told him that the rear passenger side door lock actuator needed to be replaced and they replaced it under warranty even though they couldn't replicate an issue with it.
When it comes to airbags though, this is a major safety feature of your car so I would hope that they would thoroughly investigate rather than just take my word for it. They are probably just doing their job and trying to be thorough.
Oh, and oil changes aren't hard, even for us girls
