Not in neutral, but I don't usually downshift. So engine braking plus brakes. Brake pads are cheaper than clutches, but I don't go through a lot of either brake pads or
clutches. I have ~198k on my Volvo winter beater's original clutch. And I thought I held the world-record for Volvo turbo front pads at 72K.
