I think it's 2005 or 1006 cars will be required to pass the readyness test from the OBD connector.

If no lights burning and no stored codes and you have completed a drive cycle you are good. They will plug you in, inspect, then let you go.
i heard about this too but excuse my noobness what's a sniff test?
