Sigh, just when I thought I had figured out the problem by setting my BMS PBX to map 0, now I can't get the software to communicate with my car again.
After I set the tune to map 0 I was able to read the codes and also clear them using the software. I also had installed a new battery installed earlier that day that I wanted to register but the software gave me the same packet error as others with early builds. After giving up for the day and going back the next day, I now get the "unable to communicate with the DME" error again. I verified my drivers, made sure I didn't change anything with my settings, and even followed some advice on the coding forum but no luck. I also tried a completely different laptop running windows xp. Could I have a bad cable? I ordered the K+DCAN clear one Amazon using the link provided in this thread but you never know. I just don't get why I could read codes once and now I can't.
