sky advice

hi, my dad is thinking of getting sky

he only wants it for football, doesnt need hd or multiroom, but would like 'sky go' so he can watch on laptop/ipad etc. he's never had any sky before and has no dish. there are no cable options where he lives (as far as we know).

any advice? looks like a bare minimum option is 42 / month for sky sports + the basic pack, with free box and free setup.

can it be any cheaper? is combining it with broadband/phone a good option?

thanks (i know absolutely zero about sky, hence why asking)
