The M5 is the faster of the two- Id rather have the C63 off the line with its 60% lockup lsd but the M5 will pull hard into triple digit speeds. But they serve two different purposes. The CBS is a street race car and the M5 is a GT Saloon with some sports car characteristics. The M5 will not out handle a car that weighs about 500 lbs less and you can definitely feel it in the high speed 100 plus turns and sharp lower speed corners.

I just wish the CBS had a DCT tranny---- game over.

I only ask because I was nearly going to pull the trigger on a BS about a year ago but it was way out of budget the way I wanted it spec'd. Luckily you are in a position to own such a lovely car in a nice collection of beasts. MCT isn't too bad when you consider the M156 has one of the most guttural V8 sounds I've ever heard.
