BTW, it's obsurd that the manufacture doesn't sell these or seem to expect people to rebuild the motor. These cars are so well built and could really last a person a very long time with the right work.
Tell me about it. It wasn't even that expensive to have the whole head rebuilt and the only thing that really needed to be replaced were the guides and seals/gaskets. Valves and springs look fine. The car is loosing oil but I'm not sure where it's loosing it. I wouldn't be unusual for the guides to be leaking. It's super common on all bimmers.
