The 35d engine, be it pre-LCi or LCi run the modified swirl flaps - they don't suffer from the issue.
I replaced mine for a couple of reasons, two of mine were weeping oil and in my opinion they're not needed, over engineering at its best.
"Injested flaps" that can't be a good thing.......I'm glad that's nothing for me to worry about then. Thanks for the information / clarification
