My only point was its expensive to replace if god forbid you need new one. I am not sure if I would be comfortable rebuilding this transmission, and probably not too many places are competent enough to work on DCTs. How much more complex are these transmissions vs. lets say steptronic?

On a positive note, I dont think I have heard of any DCT failures yet.. THis is the same transmission BMW has been putting in M3 since 2008. So they must have got it right..
