If you want to DIY it, you need a floor jack, jack stands, and a 8MM and 10MM nut drivers just to get the panel off that covers the area of the transmission where the slave cylinder is. If you have all those tools and are worried about bleeding the line, then buy a line clamping plyers and just remove the CDV. There is no need to put a fake one back in; the supply hose has enough slack to fit directly on the slave cylinder.
