.15 cubic feet (4.2 liters, including the sub) is the bare
minimum recommended by Pioneer in the specs of this sub.
These 8" subs also could be used in an infinite baffle (free air configuration) although their nominal power rating is less than in a sealed enclosure and the response is slightly different. But they work...
