I've heard no horror tales about them. One convenient thing, as stated, is that a BMW dealer will handle your warranty claim with no fuss. With other warranty companies, you often have to pay the dealer first and then claim back from the warranty company.

I took the 0 excess option with mine and, sod's law, the first two years on it, I had no claims whatsoever.
