Contacted one local dealer today regarding the PPK. Quote was roughly $950 installed. About 250 was labor, so 700 for the tune. Then I asked if they would honor the labor charge if I found another source for the tune. Answer: no.

I already know I can buy it thru them using a 20% coupon code, which puts it at 640. Plus 250 tune...890. Still not thinking this is worth quite that.

I think if I cold get this done for 650-700, I'd probably get it but I'm having a hard time with anything approaching 900-1000.

Can independent bmw shops install this tune?
