The NA PE muffler has bigger than 3" tips on it from the start (at least they do on my E92 version) and they fit in the diffuser fine.
I don't think they are 3.5" though - somewhere in between 3 & 3.5

Yeah, I currently have a PE on my e90. I can't imagine the dimensions being different b/t the e90/e92. I can measure tomorrow morning.
Another member told me they won't fit with the PE regardless, so I don't know, I'm confused. lol
