Try plugging the regular iPhone 5 USB in.. If that doesn't work, you need to get a "Y" cable. Its a cable that plugs into both the aux port and the USB port and then just plugs directly into the charging port in the phone. Ive never seen the Y cable for an iPhone 5 but i do know that theyre out there.
