Do you have hi-fi sound system? It sounds like you have CD player and there is an amp below it. Difficult to see as the pic is showing half of it.

Open the amp and dry it completely before you try. And when you try after drying and still get buzzing / popping , then the amp or drivers (speakers / subs) may be faulty.

Are you any good with multi-meters?
