OP, thanks for the DIY. Battery went out last week on my '06 325i - eye was black. After much reading, decided to get the OEM (lead acid) white battery with the same specs. Luckily a local dealer had it at a fair price. I registered it myself with the Ediabas/bin Tools32. (I read if it has the same specs it doesn't need to be coded). All good now.
Guys, I should clarify. I used Tools32 to register the battery because I was having problems trying it with INPA. From what I've read you should use INPA if you can because Tools32 can be dangerous if you're not careful. cheers
