I did! I just went the other way with it!

But like I said, I think ruining your soundstage is a bit harsh. It might be a bit of a tuning nightmare, but I still think it's harsh.

As for those that asked 'why 300hz?'
That was my starting point.
I've experimented with 250hz, with no ill effects, and I'd happily experiment more too. I just don't get to have that much time to do so, hehe.

My science might be wrong, but once we get down to levels like 800hz, 500hz, 300hz, etc. our ears are only perceiving phase differences. We calculate phase differences based on how sound hits our two ears. The problem is, at 300hz, what's a 110cm wavelength compared to the 20cm distance in between our ears? That wavelength just blankets our ears right over.
