I wasnt sure if the procede system actively retards timing or not. Based on the instructions to install the unit, it seems like only a few wires, so I was curious as to how its actively retarding timing and monitoring, boost, IGN, RPM, road speed etc...
The same signal (from the Crank angle sensor) it uses to read RPM is the same signal it modifies to advance/retard ignition timing. I cringe at the idea of giving this duty to the stock ECU since it should only be used as a last resort.
