actually this is the second time I've heard about this issue. The fact that the majority of the 335d owners havent experienced it and that they are satisfied with it does not mean the problem does not exist. My friend was also surprised when he heard about it. But he's one of the satisfied majority.

The engine is new, so some failures are just about to show up. Anyway, this can be a really rare issue which has to be taken care of. Bmw handles it, replaces the failed parts, it's ok. Just dont cover your eyes and say it does not exists because U and your friends did not exoerience it. Also dont forget to put your nose under the hood from time to time, just for sure.
