I know this thread is a bit long in the tooth.

I want to reply with my sincerest thanks for posting this information. I had to UNDO turning my DCT paddles from resistance-based to switch on-off and back to resistance-based for my 2013 LCI X5 x35i heated wheel non-sport.

These adapter jumpers with the resistors led me to to finally get paddles working. I made the final connection under the hood at a connector leading to the 8HP tranny.
