I read this thread, because Ive got the same "problem" with my E46-Coup...but Ill try it also once again by using the hand-break before put in P-position.
One thing I find also strange: For ex. if I start the engine (P-position)
and would like to drive, than I normal go from P to D - at this procedure the Gear-lever is going only with strong of pushing down in
D-position! But if I go back from D to R or P, its nevertheless given
this something damage in my automatic-gear!?
