Yes I would really recommend using a fitment calculator like the above to determine where the old/new wheels would sit relative to each other and figure out what size spacer is necessary.

For example I run the 19" Style 313 wheels on my LCI E92 335i and need spacers to clear my brake calipers. I run a 12mm spacer at the front and rear. However, I want to reduce this slightly at the rear as I do get some arch rub on full compression.
