Numbers alone don't tell the whole story. With that torque the in-gear acceleration times will be amazing without trying. Much
more relevant than foot-to-the-boards 0-100mph times.
I've read a lot of feedback from 535D owners, one with an Aston Martin Vantage (V12) who could only just keep up with his wife in the BMW (DMS 535D)
- on A and B roads he said he was revving it out and using the whole power range only to find his wife hadn't even been trying. He said that his Aston would only really stand a cahnce above 130mph.
