There is a line of sticky calk between the cover and the windshield. Also, any water that gets under the cover will drain into the cowling and then down to the ground. The windshield is sealed to the frame no water can get in. Don't worry about it. If you want to fix it, most auto parts stores sell it. It is for sealing windshield trim and windshields to the frame. It is black, round and really sticky, and comes in 1/4 inch sizes from 1/4 in. to 1/2 inch. Lift the trim up, put some of the calk in and then press down.
