I've had a spec.dock for a couple of months now and I've been loving every minute of it. A week ago, I realized that the thing wasn't charging my iPhone. I rechecked the wiring and after a couple failed attempts of fixing the issue, I contacted Randy Lively (one of the founders of spec.dock).
We emailed back and forth and he suggested a couple of things I should do to try to solve the issue. None of them worked. Before I go any further, these emails were between the times of 10pm-2am local time on a Friday/Saturday. What other company would be up at that time to help a customer in need?!?!
In the end, Randy informed me that they would go ahead and send out a new unit
and I got the new unit 2 days after he sent it (from Atlanta to Texas). I got it today and the spec.dock works perfect again!
I know a lot of people here think that the speck.dock is overpriced, but when you factor in the OEM look, ease of installation/integration, and customer service, NOTHING comes close! These guys will bend their backs to make sure every one of their customers are satisfied.
