when i test drove the step i got the impression that DS changed at the optimum revs, where as manual changed after that when it got up to the limiter.
i felt that DS was faster than just leaving it in manual.
could be wrong though
manual seems a bit like an idiots guide to manual. let's you change gears when you want but overrules you if you get it completly wrong, e.g. coming to a halt in 4th
i quite liked it after a few hrs test driving.
