Yeah I think your right about that connector. I ended up putting the old battery back in the car and it fired right up. I drove it to my mechanic to let him deal with it. He said my new battery needed a charge. It was reading 12.1v. It appears that these cars are quite finicky. My plan was to install a new battery and take it to the mechanic to have it "registered". Thanks BMW. This is the first time I've had to take a car in to change out a battery- ridiculous!
