Hey everyone. I've been shopping around for coilovers and would love to go with KW Clubsports, AST's with swift, hyperco or eibach springs, but my budget doesn't allow for those setups. After some research about the large difference in motion ratios between the front and rear of e9x's, and how this translates to the high spring rate needed in the rear because of the 33% motion ratio on the rear compared to the ~85% motion ratio in the front, i think that a 400/800 setup would be the best setup for me. My question is that is it possible to run an aftermarket linear spring with these spring rates on such coilovers as a KW v1 or v2, or the ST V1 (galvinized version of the KW's)? Do you think that the unadjustability of the ST and KW v1's would affect the handling in a bad way? Is using a linear spring conversion on these kits a bad idea even these kits are all that are in my budget range at the moment? Also, what about the sonic tuning s1's (come out of the box with 400F/500R, but can custom order 400F/800R)? The S1's also come with camber plates so I can dial in some neg. camber up front which would also help with some of my understeering issues. Let me know what you all think. Thanks in advance.
