A very good point about the 1000 mile depreciation, Tony.
I know the extent of your contacts at BMW UK have changed since you started this thread, but is there any way of finding out just how widespread this prblem is? It would be very interesting to get some idea of how many cars with this problem BMW have now had to replace. Just look how many on this thread alone.
