a couple of weeks ago, i spliced (2) 10,000uF capacitors (using electrical tape, not solder) to my HIDs on the power side, not the bulb side. the error went away for a little but now all of a sudden its very intermittent again. it'll come and go a couple times in one drive, stop for a couple days, then come back. i also dont think my ballasts are canbus, as they dont say on the sticker on the ballast. they were on the car when i purchased so i dont know where the PO got them.
in fact, this is what my ballasts look like, i found this picture on ebay, so im assuming the PO purchased them on ebay.
any thoughts? should i try the slim ballast from DDM like the OP did? anyone know if those are canbus?
