^im not sure how BMW end of lease returns are, but on the nissan/infiniti lease return they get a 3rd party company to just go over basic things. (took about 15 min). Looked in the engine bay and asked if i had any mods (i did, i had pulleys an engine dampener and silicon hoses all over. I even painted my engine bay and he didnt notice. Not sure about a standalone ECU or a piggyback though...I would assume as long as no CEL/errors are being thrown you should be ok...??
